Better Late than Never?!

Today I let my youngest son know I would be available to drive he and a couple of his friends to the water park. They were excited and I was happy to have the time off to do so.

This afternoon we started out on our adventure to pick up friends and off to the park. Once the guys got situated I left and was headed home. This was a perfect afternoon to catch on some tasks that needed completed.

While in route I get a phone from a client stating they had an appointment with me today from 12pm-2pm I was like huh?! I didn’t understand I don’t remember having this photo appointment even though my calendar software did provide notifications to me.

Here’s the thing… the client name is Crystal and for some reason I confused the reminder notification with another client named Crystal that I booked an appointment with about a week or two ago. I dismissed the notification because I thought I had made an error in the date. I never did take the time to look into it. I saw it didn’t remember and didn’t think about it until I received the client call.

I was mortified to look at my watch and see that the time was 2:08 at the time of her call.

She told me I could still come people were late arriving. Since I was not far from home I rushed to put on my work clothes grabbed my camera bag and headed out the door.

I arrived at 2:50 and immediately begin taking photos of guests that were leaving and any of the outside details.

I sincerely apologize to the client for my negligence in not arriving during my scheduled time.

I was greeted at the front door by my catering friends Aj’s Catering Atlanta.

It’s been awhile since I’ve worked alongside with them and it was a pleasant surprise that they were working this event.

Moral of the story: Never dismiss the notification lean not into your own understanding make sure to look into a situation before moving on.
